Continental Development Corporation has benefitted greatly from our membership in the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, we have received numerous referrals specifically for tenants at our Skypark Office/Medical complex located off Lomita and Hawthorne Boulevards. In addition, businesses looking to expand to other South Bay cities have also contacted us through the many Chamber communication channels.

The Volunteer Center, South Bay-Harbor-Long Beach belongs to the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce because the Chamber provides a broad connection to the community that is not available any other place. It also provides a forum to let the community know about our organization, its accomplishments, and its needs. The Volunteer Center benefits greatly from the connections the Chamber provides and has provided for many, many years. Thank you Torrance Chamber!

South Bay Yellow Cab (SBY) has always been an active member of the community. We have been a Chamber member for years; however, it was never really seen as such until we actively participated with the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC). Yes, there is a difference, a member as opposed to an active member. It depends on what you hope to gain from your membership. We have been both. Simply becoming a member means that you have not taken advantage of your membership enough, while being an ACTIVE member will bring you more than you have bargained for. Our active membership with TACC has provided us with the exposure and opportunity to build relationships with many of the businesses in Torrance. TACC has provided us with a tremendous amount of visibility by allowing us to play an active roll in several of the programs offered. We joined the Ambassador’s program which definitely helped fast track our business’s presence. The best thing we gained from being an active member was all the friendships we built along the way.
The hardworking, efficient and trendsetting staff of the Chamber, under the leadership of Donna Duperron, President, and Chairman Mark Waronek, who have worked very hard to ensure that their members get the “Bang for their Buck!” have been great to work with. Kudos to all of you! We look forward to many more years of being an ACTIVE member of TACC! Congratulations on your success!

Being part of the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce is more than simply writing a check and getting your name in the member directory. The programs and opportunities the Chamber offers have benefitted me professionally through the community involvement, relationship building—both personally and for business, and my growth as a leader. I am proud to be a member of the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce.

“The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce has been instrumental in building my business. I’ve gotten new clients through my involvement, built a huge list of contacts and, more importantly, I’ve developed a lot of lasting friendships. Every business should be a member.”
