A new member stopped by to share his thoughts. Daniel M. Hart, Account Executive, Advanced Portfolio Strategies says, “Business at Noon has been an invaluable experience for me leading to many new relationships. The monthly event allows me to network with likeminded individuals and dine at local Torrance restaurants. As a first-time attendee, the thoughtful event structure made me feel comfortable and welcomed as a new member. My only critique is that the event is held only once a month!”   Well, it’s a good thing the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce has over 130 programs and events, providing networking opportunities and plenty of social opportunities members find great value in.

During October 10th through November 10th, The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce is running the Fall into Membership Drive. Joining will provide membership benefits and provide an opportunity drawing for a prize.  Gifts are donated by current members as they see the value of supporting businesses to strengthen our community. Thank you to the following members for providing gift items, Paul’s Photo, Dr. Mellert and Dr. Houck, Aki Lashes, and Botanical Gardens. Membership provides an opportunity for visibility through participation. If you’d like information emailed to a potential member, please send the name and business to yuki@torrancechamber.com.

“I have attended many ribbon cuttings and met the owners of local business.  I truly enjoy learning about their personal stories of building their business. I also love Chamber 101 that allows us to not only meet other new members but also staff members who do a great job in daily chamber operations. I see a long-term value in the chamber membership to link me and my business with knowing what is going on in the community, so we can do better planning for marketing and expansion. I would highly recommend the chamber membership due to the wonderful services provided, I am very proud of the membership!”  Ginger Lai, Gingi, Inc.

“I enjoy meeting business owners and operators in the Torrance Community.   Taking a moment away from the hustle and bustle of daily tasks to network over lunch is a breath of fresh air. I’m looking at building more relationships and assisting the community when needed.”  Marcus Byrd, Sales Executive, Full Service, Southwest-Torrance Marriott.

The value of Chamber membership comes in many forms. The chance to promote your business, expand your knowledge and business-related skills; volunteering to serve the community that supports your business, advocacy for business-friendly legislation.
