On Tuesday, January 25, the Torrance City Council directed staff to prepare an agenda item for their February 15th meeting to allow the City Council to place a ½ cent local sales tax measure on the June 7, 2022 ballot. If approved by a majority of local voters, this measure would provide approximately $18 million annually in locally controlled funding to prevent cuts of city services in Torrance.
To learn more about the City’s current challenges and the proposed sales tax measure for voter consideration, the City is hosting two additional public webinars with the City Manager, Police Chief, Fire Chief, and Finance Director to be held on Monday, January 31, and Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 6:00pm.
