As I entered 3TEN Liquor, I immediately observed how organized and clean this location is. Mark Zaky, owner, welcomed me and enthusiastically began sharing information about the location. 3TEN Liquor is a small specialty store that specializes in craft beers and hard to find wines. “Many of the craft beers that we sell are from local breweries and can be purchased in six packs or a single unit. Our focus is on the Los Angeles breweries. The craft beer industry is ever changing so we continually keep our shelves stocked with items that are fresh and new. Our goal is to provide an excellent product at the best price,” stated Zaky.
As we walked around the store, Zaky and his team provided valuable insight into the many diverse types of craft beers and wines they display on their shelves and their refrigerator units. As a testament to the variety of stock 3TEN carries, I was shown a beautiful botte of Contucci wine from Montepulciano, Italy, and a display of bestselling stouts. The thing that caught my eye, though, was the colorful cans of craft beer smoothies. “Craft enthusiasts are elevating a new trend which is smoothie-style ales. Descended from fruited sours, smoothie-style ales are brewed with fruit purée that keeps its pulpy texture during the beer making,” commented Zaky.
Zaky appreciates the journey of the craft beer industry which is always transitioning and the Torrance community which has been loyal to 3TEN Liquor.
