The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to introduce the Small Business Advisory Council, a monthly initiative designed to empower small businesses, strengthen local partnerships, and provide a platform for shared knowledge, advocacy, and support.

As small businesses continue to be the backbone of our local economy, this council serves as a proactive space for business owners and entrepreneurs to connect, collaborate, and thrive.

Held on the third Thursday of each month from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Chamber office, the program offers insightful discussions on challenges and opportunities facing small businesses, access to valuable resources and tools, guest speakers and presentations from local experts, opportunities for peer-to-peer networking, and a unified voice to advocate for small business interests

“We’re all about supporting the community, and that means staying connected to our neighboring businesses. Joining the Small Business Advisory Council is a natural way to be part of the conversation, share ideas, and better understand what our fellow business owners are facing so we can grow stronger together,” states Nian Wang, President and local business owner of Zoom Drain Los Angeles.

At its core, the Small Business Advisory Council reflects the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to championing small business success and building a stronger, more connected Torrance.

Julia Parton, Co-Chair of the Small Business Advisory Council and First Vice President Business Development Manager of Malaga Bank, states, “I was inspired to join the Small Business Advisory Council to share my experiences and learn from fellow business leaders who are equally committed to growth. The collective wisdom of the group will be invaluable – not only in navigating challenges, but in discovering new opportunities and building new partnerships. The relationships and insights from this type of group will open doors and help with business growth.”

Participation is open to all Chamber members who identify as a small business or who want to support small business development. Whether you’re just starting out or have been in business for decades, your voice and perspective matter.
