Donna Duperron
CEO and President
Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce
If you are anything like me, I look back at the past two years with happiness and exhaustion because of how resilient and nimble our workforces and organizations have been throughout this pandemic. It has truly been a rough ride, one which has changed so many lives.
We are blessed in our community to have leaders, business owners, educators and citizens who realize that we all share in the responsibility of creating economic success and happiness within our community.
As we continue to recover from the pandemic, the Chamber’s goal of strengthening your business through partnership has never been stronger. The Chamber will continue to advocate for business-friendly legislation. Our Government Affairs Policy (GAP) group meets monthly to review and take positions on legislation that affects business. We share those positions with our State, Federal and local elected officials so that your business needs are heard.
The Chamber continually brings businesses together for networking. The best way to grow your business is to build relationships. The Chamber helps facilitates those relationships by hosting events that bring Torrance area business representatives together. With professional groups, cultural events, legislative luncheons and business mixers, the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce has something for everyone.
The value of your Chamber membership comes in many forms. The chance to promote your business; the opportunity to expand your knowledge and business skills; the vehicle through which you can serve the community that supports your business; the option of linking with other local businesses to strengthen your own position and offering. Only your own imagination limits the possibilities of what your membership can mean to you.
This year will bring challenges to the chamber and to our community. We will face them together, with leadership, with teamwork, with hope, and with pride. Our common goal, we know, is to make this the premier place to live, to work, and to do business. Together, we can.
