I have been grateful for the programs that the chamber has given me an opportunity to participate in, specifically graduating from Leadership Torrance this year was a big achievement for me, and being offered to participate in the ambassador’s program as well. Both these programs have introduced me to professionals that I would have otherwise not met. These professionals in their industries are very well known and cover a lot of areas that my clients need services for as well so it’s going to be a great way in the future to help my clients and support other individuals in the Torrance community. I have not only made a lot of business relations but personal relationships as well so it’s helping me expand my network.
In the new year, I’m looking forward to leveraging these relationships to benefit my clients and the Torrance community. It’s going to be great to meet more people and introduce my clientele to these professionals to help promote their businesses but to also promote a more holistic approach when dealing with clients. As a financial planner we deal with many different parts of our clients’ lives and some of them are out of our scope, so we keep to our core competencies and work with other professionals who deliver their personalized services to our clients.
We are incredibly grateful to the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce for the warm and heartfelt welcome during the Ribbon Cutting ceremony for LifeLine Walk-In Medical & Mental Health Nursing Clinic. The support and enthusiasm from the Chamber and the local business community have been truly inspiring.
This milestone marks the beginning of our journey in Torrance, and we are excited to contribute to the health and well-being of this vibrant community. We look forward to many years of success, meaningful partnerships, and dedicated service alongside the Chamber and our fellow members.
Thank you for making us feel at home from day one.
The Torrance Chamber of Commerce has been behind us 100% this past year. They reached out to us after the shut down and I was able to share that we had all our events and weddings had cancelled or postponed and the Los Angeles Flower Mart had closed their doors for the 1st time in 100 years. No jobs, no product. We pivoted and pulled on another life skill and started making masks, as there was a shortage in the USA. The Chamber put the word out and orders came rolling in. My sewing machines were called up and vases and floral cutters were benched. Because of this the Chamber recognized Flower Duet with the 2020 Innovation and Design Award and we were honored. The Chamber has ensured we, as Small Business Owners are aware of Grant and Loan opportunities available to help us through this year of uncertainty. We are looking forward to working with our blooms again and providing floral designs for the Chamber and our community once again.
The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce is truly amazing! They are a great support and resource to the community and that is very important to our organization.
Continental Development Corporation has benefited greatly from our membership with the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, we have received numerous referrals specifically for tenants at our Skypark Office/Medical complex located off Lomita and Hawthorne Boulevards. In addition, businesses looking to expand to other South Bay cities have also contacted us through the many Chamber communication channels.
I have been an active member of the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce for 20 years now and I have loved every minute! As a past chairman of the board, I have developed life-long relationships and freindships with the chamber and the City. I always say, ‘you get out of the chamber of what you put into it’ – being a part of the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce has been the best investment I have made in business…
Thank you for your referral of Steven Griswold Insurance. Steven is wonderful and was able to procure me the insurance I needed for the Faire. It feels great to have my insurance broker be someone who has actually attended the Street Faire instead of a broker in Tucson, AZ. Chamber networking works!
Participating in the Women in Business program has been an incredibly impactful experience for me. Through this program, I’ve come to realize that many women in business face similar challenges, from balancing multiple roles to overcoming industry barriers. The sense of community and understanding among participants has been truly inspiring.
One of the aspects I appreciate most is that the program doesn’t feel like a one-way conversation it’s an open and welcoming space where everyone is encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences. This atmosphere of open discussion allows for genuine connections and collaborative problem-solving, making each session truly valuable.
Additionally, the relationships I’ve built with other professionals have provided me with support and encouragement, as well as valuable resources that I can share with my customers. Collaborating and exchanging insights with other women has helped me grow both personally and professionally, and I am grateful for the opportunities and knowledge this program has provided.
I highly recommend the Women in Business program to anyone looking to expand their network, gain practical resources, and be part of a community that genuinely uplifts and empowers its members.
I would like to express my gratitude to you and the Torrance Chamber of Commerce for organizing the ‘Women in Business Panel.’ It’s heartening to witness our community reshaping the narrative of business and business leaders and redefining the concept of success for women in business.
Additionally, I strongly believe that the Torrance Chamber of Commerce truly exemplifies Torrance’s motto of ‘A Balanced City’ through its contributions in bringing prominent business leaders from diverse industries together within the chamber to collaborate and complement each other. This initiative creates an unparalleled experience and fosters the development of a strong community identity within Torrance and the South Bay.
Being an active member of the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce has been one of the most rewarding and beneficial experiences of my professional journey. The Chamber offers a wealth of events and networking opportunities that foster meaningful connections and community engagement. Some of my personal favorites include Leadership Torrance, Business at Noon, the annual Business Expo, and the 5K for Freedom.
The Chamber’s staff and leadership team are incredibly supportive and dedicated, always going above and beyond to assist members. Serving as an ambassador has been especially fulfilling. Whether attending ribbon cuttings, welcoming new members, or helping to grow the organization, it’s a fantastic way to get involved, give back, and build lasting relationships within the community.
All of the other business leaders that I’ve met, I’ve been able to learn from. Because of that, my business has been able to grow. Personally, in my career, I’ve been able to grow based on those relationships that I have created that the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce brought to me.
The Chamber’s support and thoughtful coordination made the day truly special. Surrounded by fellow members, business owners, and clients, we were given a meaningful platform to share not only our services, but our purpose.
The event allowed us to showcase key offerings such as our 401(k) solutions tailored specifically for small businesses, as well as the long-term value of financial education that we bring to individuals, families, and their future generations. In today’s world, financial literacy is more important than ever, and we’re passionate about empowering our community with tools for financial wellness.
For small businesses like ours, events like these are more than ceremonial—they are strategic opportunities to elevate our mission, build lasting relationships, and grow within a supportive network. We are deeply grateful to the Torrance Chamber of Commerce for championing local businesses and creating spaces where we can thrive together. If you’re a small business looking to expand your reach and impact, I can’t recommend this experience highly enough.
The Torrance area Chamber has many great programs for our members. I am particularly interested in the GAP Committee meetings as valuable information is shared monthly regarding proposed legislation that affects local businesses. The committee is a great voice for businesses with our local and state governments.
This Chamber is incredible. I work at El Camino, and we serve nine cities, so I’m involved with a lot of Chambers. They all have their strengths, but the Torrance Chamber, probably because Torrance is such a big city with so much business, just offers so many opportunities to network and connect. Personally, I’ve made a lot of friendships over the years. Professionally, the connections I’ve made are invaluable.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Torrance — South Bay has benefitted greatly not only from the many events we have the pleasure of hosting, but also with the relationships we have built over the years with Torrance Chamber members. I personally have served on the Executive Board and Full Board and have found the experience to be an asset to our organization’s growth through the years. Leadership Torrance, a program of the Torrance Chamber, is a great introduction for new members to become fully acquainted with the community and all that Torrance has to offer.
The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce has been instrumental in building my business. I’ve gotten new clients through my involvement, built a huge list of contacts and, more importantly, I’ve developed a lot of lasting friendships. Every business should be a member.
Your business can benefit from membership, too.
With the unprecedented volume of innovative programs and opportunities offered by the Torrance Chamber,
there has never been a better time to join.
