The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce held its Educate, Celebrate, Elevate Diversity Awards reception last Thursday. The event celebrated the achievements and leadership of five individuals in multiculturalism and diversity.

Honorees included: Male Success Alliance, California State University Dominguez Hills, Vanguard Award; Tara Nierenhausen, Community’s Child, Catalyst Award; Latrice McGlothin, Kinecta Federal Credit Union, Advocate Award; CommUnity Walk Against Hate, El Camino College, Outstanding Diversity Program; Hands Across Campus, Torrance High School, Outstanding Diversity Program; Bob and Laurie Brandt, Red Car Brewery and Restaurant, Rising Star Award.
