Donna Duperron, President & CEO, and other business leaders from throughout the state traveled to Sacramento for the day-long California Business Outlook and Dinner. Panel discussions throughout the event gave attendees the opportunity to hear from experts, legislators and business colleagues on subjects ranging from ballot initiatives and elections to international economics, artificial intelligence, the California budget and a new economic dashboard. The final keynote speaker was James Carville, one of the most well-known political strategists in modern U.S. history.
Awards presented at the event recognized outstanding chambers of commerce. The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce received the President’s Circle award for demonstrating excellence in business advocacy. This award recognizes that the Torrance Chamber works closely with the CalChamber advocacy team to influence legislators, sign coalition letters, and ensure local voices are heard at the state Capitol.
