The City of Torrance Commission on Aging is accepting nominations for the 2022 Older American Awards. The commission is calling for organizations to nominate their star senior volunteers who have gone above and beyond to serve their respective organizations, and are seeking to honor them in a special way that signifies the deep appreciation of their hard work.
Senior volunteers are often the backbone of Torrance based organizations, as they have watched the city evolve over the years, and possess the wisdom, skills and knowledge that benefit organizations. They give their time freely to serve others, and their dedication has helped local businesses who may be chamber members, and ultimately the city of Torrance not only survive the pandemic but remain strong through it all.
Members who are interested may submit this nomination form by email to dreed@torranceca.gov. Forms can also be requested from the Commission directly and mailed to the following address: Commission on Aging, 3031 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA, 90503. Please note, nominees must be residents of Torrance.
