Pat Sandt, President of the South Bay Sunrise Rotary Club, extended an invitation to join the South Bay Sunrise Rotary Club in the distribution of dictionaries to third-grade students at Hickory Elementary School. Beginning the week of January 29th, Rotarians from three local South Bay Rotary Service Clubs began to distribute a brand new dictionary to every Torrance Unified School District third-grade student.
“We are very pleased to be able to offer this gist and deliver the dictionaries in person to all 17 elementary schools. Our members feel the project’s mission is aligned closely with our desire to encourage students to become good writers, active readers, creative thinkers, and resourceful learners,” explained Sandt.
