President and CEO, Donna Duperron was a guest speaker at the UEI College graduation this past Friday. The ceremony was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

In her speech, Duperron encouraged graduates to be the “change” in the workforce.

John Espiro, Campus President; Peter Brown, Director of Education and Marco Guerrero, Director of Career Services also spoke to the graduates congratulating them on their hard work and dedication. Tasha Cerda, Mayor of Gardena, was also a guest speaker.

Graduates were from the fields of automotive technician, business office and administration, criminal justice, computer systems technician, dental assistant, medical assistant, medical billing and insurance coding and pharmacy technician.

Since its inception in 1982, UEI has continued to update the improve its program offerings and facilities. UEI received full accreditation in April 1998 from the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training.
