The LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games are moving closer to 2028—and for local businesses, the window to learn about potential opportunities is already underway.
During the September LA28 Community Relations First Friday Webinar, community leaders and business owners received updates on the Games, including procurement, small-business participation and upcoming opportunities.
LA28 estimates the Games will bring approximately 15 million visitors and 14 million ticketed fans to the region. For businesses interested in participating, LA28’s procurement strategy includes a goal of directing 75% of addressable procurement spending to the Greater Los Angeles region and 25% to small businesses.
New requests and Expressions of Interest continue to be posted as LA28 moves through its procurement process.
One opportunity currently listed is the Food Small Business Integration – Vendor Pool, which is intended to connect qualified small businesses with food-related opportunities associated with the Games. The current deadline is November 16, 2026.
Businesses interested in pursuing LA28 opportunities should review the requirements carefully and register through the appropriate procurement portal.
How Can Businesses Stay Informed?
LA28 posts competitive sourcing opportunities through the Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (RAMP LA). Businesses interested in pursuing opportunities are encouraged to register and check regularly for new Requests for Information (RFIs) and Expressions of Interest (EOIs). LA28 recommends reviewing the marketplace at least every two weeks.
LA28 also offers resources to help small businesses prepare to participate in the Games’ supply chain.
For Torrance and South Bay businesses, the message from the latest webinar is simple: don’t wait until 2028. If your business is interested in being part of LA28, now is the time to get informed, register and watch for opportunities that fit your capabilities.
