Every year, the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce has the pleasure of offering Leadership Torrance (LT) as one of its most elite programs. This is a unique series including a maximum of 25 participants who participate in a six-month program incorporating tours, speakers as well as a trip to the State Capitol in Sacramento. The program runs from January to July, culminating with a graduation ceremony.
Leadership Torrance has a 40-year history and attracts outstanding professionals and members in the community who are currently in leadership or seek to expand their networks of top contacts.
LT continues to be one of the Chamber’s most successful programs aimed at encouraging leadership skills and shopping leadership into action. Through a course of half-day and day-long workshops, tours and visits, participants are exposed to sites and individuals in city government, county, education, non-profit sectors and the business power base of the South Bay.
Participants have access to people and places that are not easily available to most. It is a fascinating process by which the participants grow in relationships, contacts, knowledge, and pride in their community which leads many to great professional advancements and even a desire to serve.
