The Environmental Quality and Energy Conservation Commission (“Commission”) will be hosting a monthly meeting on July 6th, 7:00 pm, in the West Annex Commission Room, which is located at 3031 Torrance Boulevard. One of the items that will be considered that evening is the proposed ordinance to prohibit smoking in and around multi-unit residences. You can find a copy of the staff report and proposed ordinance for this item at www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/83297/638236427434470000.

As a reminder, this meeting is open to the public and there will be time allotted for public comment. Additionally, you may submit written correspondence on the item by emailing CDDinfo@TorranceCA.gov and including “Public Comment – Smoking In and Around Multi Unit Residences” in the subject line. For your awareness, all written comments received by 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, will be included as a “Supplemental” to the Commission prior to the meeting. Comments received after 5:30 p.m., but prior to the end of the meeting will be added to the record.
