The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce will recognize six outgoing members of its Board of Directors at the upcoming Installation and Impact Awards on Thursday, June 5. Among them is the current Chairman of the Board, Larry Halvorsen of Express Employment Professionals. Each of these leaders has played a meaningful role in supporting the Chamber’s mission and helping the business community thrive.

Also concluding their terms are Linda Amato of DoubleTree by Hilton Torrance South Bay, Vince Giuliano of Gaetano’s Restaurant, David Gamboa of California State University Dominguez Hills, Sherry Kramer of Continental Development Corporation, and Andrea Sala of El Camino College. All will be honored at the event for their service and contributions to the Torrance area.

Halvorsen shared a few thoughts as he wraps up his time leading the Chamber Board. “I’m honored to have served as Chairman of the Board and to work alongside a dedicated team that shares the same vision for business growth and a healthy community environment,” he said.

Andrea Sala of El Camino College reflected on her two full terms and the Chamber’s impact both personally and professionally.

“This Chamber is incredible,” she said. “I work at El Camino, and we serve nine cities, so I’m involved with a lot of Chambers. They all have their strengths, but the Torrance Chamber, probably because Torrance is such a big city with so much business, just offers so many opportunities to network and connect. I’ve made a lot of friendships over the years, and the connections I have made are invaluable.”

For Vince Giuliano of Gaetano’s Restaurant, the experience has been just as rewarding.

“It’s been a pleasure to serve the community as a Board member for the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce,” Giuliano said. “I’ve always enjoyed giving back, and the Chamber gave me an avenue to do that. The relationships I’ve built with other business leaders have helped me grow in my career and grow Gaetano’s.”

As the Chamber prepares to welcome new leadership, it offers sincere thanks to these six outgoing members. Their time, insight, and dedication have helped move the organization forward and left a lasting mark on the local business landscape.

The Installation and Impact Awards will be held at DoubleTree by Hilton Torrance South Bay. This event will feature the installation of the 2025 to 2026 Board of Directors, graduation of the Leadership Torrance Class of 2025, and presentation of the Impact Awards honoring outstanding businesses and community leaders.
