Under the Leadership of Vince Giuliano, Vice Chair Economic Development, members of the TACC’s South Bay Restaurant Association gathered for the first time last week. Giuliano welcomed restaurant owners as they arrived at Gaetano’s.

 

“The purpose of the South Bay Restaurant Association is to promote and protect these economically vital industries. Members will connect individuals from the restaurant industry so they can learn from one another, become more profitable, develop key relationship with government agencies, monitor local regulatory changes and provide a means to advance the industry. Further, this association will promote restaurants, offer access to information, provide networking opportunities, provide educational seminars and advocated,” stated Giuliano.

 

During roundtable discussions, topics discussed by restaurant owners included:  four-day work week for managers, best sources for obtaining employees, social media, what delivery platforms are being used, security company references and how to increase business.

 

Restaurants attending the first meeting included: Ortega 120, Hey 19, Lisa’s Bon Appetit, Torrance Bakery, Gaetano’s Restaurant, Bettolino Kitchen, Red Car Brewery and Restaurant, Great Maple, Kincaid’s Redondo Beach, Giuliano’s Delicatessen, The San Franciscan, Scholb Premium Ales, The Depot Restaurant, Sizzler and DoubleTree by Hilton Torrance-South Bay.
