Chamber members met with Torrance High School students through MERIT program in fall 2019.
Remember the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce MERIT/Mentor program? The program was started by Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Torrance alumnus, Glen Park. Through the program, 25 Torrance High School students were partnered with 25 chamber members who mentored and guided students through identifying and pursuing their future career goals. The mission of the program was to foster mentoring relationships between Torrance High School students and Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce members.
While the program was discontinued due to the pandemic, it is a reminder of the never-ending efforts of the chamber and its members to serve the local community and promote growth.
