On Tuesday, May 17 the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) received the President’s Circle Award for excellence in business advocacy from the California Chamber of Commerce. TACC President and CEO Donna Duperron accepted the award from CalChamber President and CEO Allan Zaremberg at an advocacy conference in Sacramento being hosted by CalChamber.

“TACC continues to work incredibly hard to represent its members with government,” comments Duperron. “Receiving this award is a testament to the quality advocacy operations being run through our government affairs program and by our hard working staff and volunteers.”

The President’s Circle Award was given to 22 local chambers of commerce in the state. Recipients published vote records of their state legislators on key business issues, generated letters to state elected officials on issues of interest to members, and participated in the CalChamber compliance product resale program at an exemplary level. This is the second year in a row that TACC has received this honor.
